Why we’re building it
Two problems keep coming up for the ND adults we talk to:
- Burnout doesn’t announce itself. You feel fine, slightly tired, slightly sensory-overloaded, slightly more snappy — until one day you can’t get out of bed and the next three months are a write-off. By the time you feel the burnout, it’s already happened. The early-warning signals were there for weeks.
- The 10-minute appointment problem. You finally get the GP / psychiatrist / OT slot you’ve been waiting four months for. You sit down and your brain blanks. You can’t remember the last three months. You leave with the wrong prescription or no prescription, and book another four-month wait.
Generic mood trackers don’t solve either of these. They’re built for neurotypical defaults. They don’t understand sensory load, masking cost, monotropic flow, autistic burnout vs depression, RSD spikes, or the AuDHD chaos-rigidity dynamic. They produce data that doesn’t translate to anything a clinician can use.
The Neurodiverge tracker is built around how ND brains actually work.
What it does
- 60-second daily check-in. Seven sliders: sensory load, masking load, social/cognitive demand, energy, mood, sleep, focus. Optional one-line note. Done.
- Burnout early-warning. When your 7-day trend matches the burnout pattern, you get a quiet flag before the crash. Not a notification firehose — a single, useful signal.
- Pattern insights. “Your sensory load is highest on Tuesdays.” “Mood drops two days after social events.” “Energy correlates strongest with sleep, not focus.” The kind of insight you’d need months of journaling to see, surfaced automatically.
- Clinician handoff PDF. Export a structured 30 / 60 / 90-day report for your next appointment. The clinician gets the patterns at a glance. The 10-minute slot finally counts.
- Custom triggers. Track migraines. Track meltdowns. Track shutdown days. Track meds and side effects. Whatever matters to you.
- Insights tied to the guides. “Your pattern matches what we describe at autistic burnout symptoms.” Tracker and content reinforce each other.
- Your data is yours. One-click export. One-click delete. No third-party tracking. No data harvesting. No selling to ad networks. No AI training on your private data.
Who it’s for
- Autistic adults wanting to map sensory and social load over time
- ADHD adults titrating meds, tracking RSD spikes, watching for burnout
- AuDHD adults navigating the chaos-rigidity tension
- Late-diagnosed adults rebuilding self-understanding
- Anyone tired of generic mood apps that miss what matters
- Anyone going into clinical appointments unprepared and leaving frustrated
When it’s coming
We’re building through 2026. A few honest notes:
- We’re a small independent team. We won’t ship fast and break things on a wellbeing app for a vulnerable audience.
- We want to ship the tracker right, not first.
- We’ll announce on this page when the closed beta opens. Bookmark or check back.
- Until then, our self-screens and guide library are free and always will be.
Pricing (planned)
- Free tier (permanent). Daily check-in, last 30 days, one chart view. No email gate. No coercion. Free forever — not a trial.
- Paid tier. Unlimited history, all metrics, pattern insights, burnout early-warning, clinician PDF, custom triggers, journal notes. Pricing to be confirmed when we launch — we’re benchmarking against what’s genuinely sustainable for our team and genuinely affordable for the audience we serve.
We will not be running ads. We will not be selling data. We will not be using BetterHelp or similar affiliate models. The subscription pays for the work.
Our principles
- Identity-first. “Autistic”, not “person with autism”. “ADHD adult”, not “sufferer”. ND-affirming throughout.
- Privacy-first. Your data is yours. Always exportable. Always deletable. No third-party tracking. No selling. No surprises.
- Sensory-friendly UI. Soft palette. No aggressive animations. No notification firehose. Dark mode. Large tap targets. Reduced-motion respect.
- No “fix yourself” framing. Track your pattern. Understand your brain. Plan around your capacity. We don’t teach you to mask harder.
- No clinical jargon. Plain language. Identity-aligned. Written by people who live it.
- No ABA, ever. Anywhere in the product. Anywhere in the content. Anywhere in our recommendations.
A few things people ask
Will there be a free tier?
Yes — permanently. Daily check-in plus last 30 days plus one chart. Not a 7-day trial that nags you. Genuinely free, forever.
Will my data be sold or used to train AI?
No. Never. Your tracking data is yours. We won’t sell it, share it, or train models on it. Our subscription pays for the work, so we don’t need data revenue.
Will it be available on iOS / Android?
The web app comes first — works on desktop and mobile browser. Native apps come later if there’s demand. The web version is designed to work well on phone-size screens.
Will the clinician PDF actually be useful in appointments?
That’s the design goal. We’re building it with input from ND-affirming clinicians so the format matches what they actually use in a 10-minute slot. Pattern summaries, trend charts, flagged events, your own notes.
Can I import data from another tracker?
Day-one priority. CSV import for major mood/health trackers. We’ll document the supported formats when the beta opens.
How is this different from Bearable or Daylio?
Built specifically for ND brains. Sensory load and masking load are first-class metrics. Burnout pattern recognition is built in. The clinician PDF is the headline feature. The insights link back to a 70+ page ND-affirming knowledge base, not generic mood advice.
